This year’s nominal scholarshipshave been awarded in memory of Kirit Velani, Honorary Director of ClinChoice Contract Research Organization (CRO), a great friend of Armenia.

The Executive Director of the Vahe Meliksetyan Foundation, Sargis Meliksetyan, noted:

“Kirit Velani was one of those rare individuals who embraced Armenian traditions while fully preserving his Indian identity. And during the tragic events of 2020 and 2023, he proved to be more Armenian than many Armenians. By awarding these nominal scholarships today, we pay tribute to his legacy.”

ClinChoice CRO Executive Director, Dr. David Abrahamyan, added:

“Just like our hero, Vahe Meliksetyan, our late Director, Mr. Kirit Velani, was blessed with a remarkable gift. Both possessed boundless kindness and an unwavering desire to selflessly help everyone around them. We are deeply honored to have had the chance to work alongside them and learn from them, though not as long as we would have wished. On behalf of ClinChoice, we extend our profound gratitude to the Vahe Meliksetyan Foundation for honoring our esteemed Director’s legacy and keeping his memory alive. We also warmly congratulate our scholarship recipients on this distinguished recognition, wishing them continued academic success and major achievements in their professional careers.”

The Vahe Meliksetyan Educational-Medical Foundation was founded in 2021 with the aim of developing clinical pharmacy in Armenia. The Foundation’s mission is to fulfill the professional dream of clinical pharmacist Vahe Meliksetyan, who fell in the 2020 Artsakh War. Over the past five years, the Foundation has invested more than 45 million AMD in Armenia’s educational and scientific research fields.
