Vahe Meliksetyan Foundation Participated in the Armenian Medical World Congress 2025
Vahe Meliksetyan Foundation participated in the Armenian Medical World Congress 2025 held on July 3-5 in Madrid.
Continuing to work towards the development of clinical pharmacy in Armenia and raising awareness within the medical community, the Foundation delivered important presentations, sharing international experience in the field of clinical pharmacy, and discussing the prospects of its implementation in Armenia.
The Foundation presented a symposium and panel discussion addressing the topic “Advancing Clinical Pharmacy in Armenia: From Vision to Implementation,” which aimed at discovering the role and potential of clinical pharmacists as a pillar for healthcare advancement. Panelists Rima Bagratyan, Irina Papieva, Garo Safaian, Yury Kiselev, Seda Boghossian-Tighe, and Sargis Meliksetyan addressed the research on educational reforms, political and legislative mechanisms, as well as the analysis of international best practices for their application in Armenia. Leading experts from the USA, Great Britain, Norway, as well as the WHO (World Health Organization) delivered separate reports.
About the VMF
Vahe Meliksetyan Foundation was established in 2021 with the aim of developing clinical pharmacy in Armenia. The foundation’s mission is to fulfill the professional dream of a clinical pharmacist, scientist, lecturer of the Department of Clinical Pharmacy of YSMU, and medical service lieutenant Vahe Meliksetyan, who fell in the 2020 Artsakh War. Over the past 4 years, VMF has invested more than 41 million AMD in the educational and scientific research sectors of RA.
