“Symphonic Mansuryan” charity concert dedicated to Vahe Meliksetyan’s 35th anniversary
The State Symphony Orchestra of Armenia, “Vahe Meliksetyan” educational-medical foundation and “C-squared” company presented a charity concert entitled “Symphonic Mansuryan”, dedicated to the 35th anniversary of Vahe Meliksetyan, who lost his life during the 44-day Artsakh war.
The concert took place on November 5 at 19:00 in the Aram Khachatryan concert hall. Renown maestro Tigran Mansuryan’s movie melodies were played during the charity concert. Famous singer, songwriter Gor Sujyan was the special guest of the concert, who closed it with the song “You Raised” dedicated to the memory of Vahe Meliksetyan.
All proceeds from the concert will be directed to the educational and medical programs of the “Vahe Meliksetyan” Foundation in order to support students forcibly displaced from Artsakh.
“Vahe Meliksetyan” educational-medical foundation was established in 2021 with the aim of developing clinical pharmacy in Armenia. Its mission is to bring into life the professional dream of Vahe Meliksetyan, a clinical pharmacologist who died in the 2020 Artsakh war.
The State Symphony Orchestra of Armenia was created by Sergey Smbatyan, who is the artistic director and chief conductor of the orchestra. Since its establishment the orchestra has gathered classical music devotees under one roof. It has always pursued the mission of expanding cultural awareness in Armenia and spiritual healing of people with the power of classical music. The State Symphony Orchestra of Armenia performs with a rich and diverse repertoire with more than 50 concerts annually covering various genres and formats.
